FROM CHILDHOOD CANCER SURVIVOR IN HER TEENS TO BOARD-CERTIFIED WELLNESS COACH IN HER TWENTIES

Nicole knows that true wellness is not all green juices and yoga. In her teens, her own wellness journey began in an unconventional way– a cancer diagnosis. At the age of fourteen, she was sitting in a hospital bed for the very first time, hooked up to IVs of blood and platelets, and hearing the words "you have leukemia".

At the time, she simply wanted to survive this illness and get through high school. It was during her recovery post-cancer treatment that she realized there was more to living than just surviving life, which led her to explore what well-being truly encompasses.

In many ways, she became her own first coaching client. She took inventory of where she was– a new college student, post-cancer treatment feeling less than optimal in mind, body, and spirit– and began taking steps toward living a healthier life. Sustainable well-being was born through lifestyle changes, like adapting a plant-based diet, implementing daily mindfulness exercises, and prioritizing movement.

Since stepping into this path, Nicole has graduated with her Bachelors from Marist College, Masters in Psychology and Spirituality, Mind- Body Studies from Columbia University, and most recently has become a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.

As a coach, Nicole meets her clients in an approachable and authentic way. She knows how tough behavior change can be and seeks to find her clients' strengths. Using evidence-based tools and strategies from the fields of health and wellness, spirituality, and psychology, she leads her clients to sustainable well-being.

When Nicole isn't coaching, she enjoys making plant-based meals, writing memoir pieces, taking long bike rides by the beach, or hanging out with her friends and family.

In addition to her private practice, Nicole works as a Health Coach at Lief Therapeutics,  provides wellness sessions to children with cancer for the With Grace Initiative, and is a teacher and student at Project Write Now
